Process

From scope call to signed reconciliation pack

This is the path a bank reconciliation audit follows at Software Framework. Use it to brief your controller before you request an estimate.

Planner reviewing a structured checklist at a desk
  1. Scope the accounts and period

We confirm which bank accounts enter the engagement, which months are in scope, and whether the review must finish before ledger lock or audit fieldwork.

  2. Collect the statement pack

You send full bank statements, cash ledger extracts, the last signed reconciliation, and known open-item notes. Incomplete packs pause the clock.

  3. Match, age, and classify

Statement lines are tied to the ledger. Deposits in transit, outstanding cheques, and other items are aged and classified with evidence status.

  4. Walk through exceptions

Your finance lead reviews the exception list with us. Items that need bank inquiry, reclassification, or write-off approval are assigned owners.

  5. Deliver the pack

You receive the reconciliation workbook, findings letter, and clearance tracker in English. Optional follow-up days can clear residual items after delivery.

What you prepare

Account list, period dates, PDF statements including zero-activity pages, ledger extracts with opening and closing balances, and one contact who can answer within a business day.
